Why I Do What I Do
I started going through the prerequisite courses for nursing school, and one of my classes was Pharmacology. I was so intrigued by the course that I got a job in a retail pharmacy. From there my interest increased; I got my associates degree in Pharmacy Technology, taught part time for a pharmacy technician diploma program, and got a job working in a clean room compounding sterile preparations. My passion is USP <797>, training, and regulatory compliance.

Latest Accomplishment
I was part of the first 300 technicians that received the new CSPT certification through PTCB. In December I will be presenting a professional poster at Midyear about a cleanroom safety gemba walk that I implemented to prevent insanitary conditions.

Most Memorable Experience as a Pharmacy Technician
All of it. Everyday is a new day full of opportunity. I try to always do my best and lead by example.

Why I Became Certified
I wanted to test my knowledge from having hands on work experience. My job has always been supportive in excelling our careers, which was brought me to where I am today.

My Passion Outside of Work
My kids, college basketball, reading a good book, and consignment shops
