Advice for Someone New to Your Specialty Area

“Network, Network, Network. Never stay stagnant in your education and development. Don’t just be an expert in one area, learn to master other specialties. Work to improve upon your weaknesses every day. Last but not least, don’t ever forget about transitions of care when working in a hospital or acute care facility. It’s easy to treat and street the patient but the last and potentially most important part is ensuring that they remain on track to a healthy recovery.”

ASHP’s Value to Members

“ASHP supports pharmacists through multiple ways and programs. They are a leader in ensuring optimal training programs, fighting for pharmacist provider status, and improving on patient care through various methods.”

“ASHP is the voice of pharmacy through political action, professional development/training, and networking”
