NPF Advisory Group Responsibilities

Advisory Group Chair

  • Schedule and conduct all advisory group conference call meetings.
  • Create agendas for all advisory group meetings.
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests related to Forum work. Advise staff and provide feedback on new practitioner interests and assist in development of Forum initiatives.
  • Promote new practitioner involvement in ASHP and New Practitioners Forum activities. Represent the Forum at events, as assigned.
  • Assist in identifying authors for the AJHP New Practitioners column and speakers for Forum educational programs. Review and comment on Forum Web offerings.
  • Actively engage Forum members through participation in ASHP Connect.
  • Represent ASHP positions and policies at all times.
  • Respect the confidential nature of all discussions pertaining to ASHP and Forum activities. Abide by ASHP policies.
  • Inform ASHP Staff and/or Liaison if they or an advisory group member is unable to fulfill responsibilities. 

All Advisory Group Members

  • Participate in all advisory group conference calls (approximately 5-7 per year). Recommend topics for meeting agendas. We recognize new practitioners are busy! It's ok if you can't make every meeting, we just ask that you communicate with your AG leaders. 
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests related to Forum work. Advise staff and provide feedback on new practitioner interests and assist in development of Forum initiatives.
