Joseph di PiroDr. Joseph T. DiPiro is Dean, Professor and Archie. O. McCalley Chair at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the University of Kentucky. He served a residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center and a fellowship in Clinical Immunology at Johns Hopkins University. He is Past-President of AACP and Past President of ACCP. He has served on the ASHP Commission on Therapeutics and the Task Force on Science, and as a past Editor of the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education.

Binita PatelBinita Patel is currently the Vice President of Pharmacy Services at Memorial Hermann Health-system. She is responsible for pharmacy services across the continuum of care which spans 15 acute care hospitals, 10 + service lines, home infusion pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, and 2 retail pharmacies which equates to over 700 FTE. Binita also is the program director of the Health-system administration residency program. Prior to joining Memorial Hermann Health-system, Binita was a senior director at Pharmacy Healthcare Solutions where she focused on specialty pharmacy and PBM practice. Binita spent 2 years at Lash Group developing patient assistance programs as a senior director of Strategic Account Management and then 8 years in academic medicine serving as the Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services at Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin where she developed clinical ambulatory practices, including retail/mail pharmacies, specialty pharmacy (URAC), pharmacist managed clinics, prior authorization and patient assistance programs, developed a community resident program, and responsible for strategic growth for ambulatory services across the health-system. Previously, Binita was the chair of the Vizient Ambulatory Committee and chair of ASHP Compensation and Sustainably. She currently sits on the SPPL Committee on Multi-Hospital Pharmacy Executives at ASHP and was one of the co-authors for the latest AJHP Forecast. Binita recently won Women Who Mean Business in Healthcare and Texas Medical Center Hero due to her efforts to fight COVID-19.

Binita received her B.S. in Microbiology at the University of Georgia, Pharm.D. at the University of North Carolina and Post-graduate year 1&2 with a MS in pharmacy administration at The Ohio State University.

Francesca CunninghamFrancesca (Fran) Cunningham, Pharm. D, is the Associate Chief Consultant, PBM in the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Director of the VA Center for Medication Safety (VAMedSAFE). Her program serves as VA’s comprehensive pharmacovigilance program with a major focus on drug and vaccine safety surveillance assessing the potential risks of new molecular entities or older agents with newly identified adverse events.
