In this podcast we discuss the development of an innovative partnership model between a department of pharmacy within a health system and an external community pharmacy network.

Jordan Rush, PharmD, MS, is Director of Pharmacy for System Retail and Outpatient Pharmacy Services for UNC Health, overseeing outpatient pharmacies across the system, meds to beds programs, a medication history team, and a PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency practice site in collaboration with the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Jordan has been an active member of ASHP throughout her career and has co-led the CPESN partnership for UNC Health since its beginning in 2018.
Mary-Haston Vest is an Assistant Director of Pharmacy with UNC Health, and an Associate Professor of Clinical Education at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She oversees Pharmacy Analytics and Outcomes Services, and leads the development of organizational approaches to integrate data analytics to effectively measure and positively impact patient outcomes. Mary-Haston is actively involved in state and national professional organizations, including ASHP and the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists.
Ashley Abode, PharmD serves as the Clinical Service Coordinator for Realo Drugs, a regional independently owned pharmacy group in North Carolina. In her role, she serves as a clinical pharmacist providing chronic care management services and comprehensive medication reviews. She works closely with providers at a local ACO and PCMH to provide patient care services and improve quality metrics. She also engages with payers and providers to build partnerships that move independent pharmacists away from the traditional dispensing role.
Dr. Luchen serves as the ASHP director of Member Relations for the Sections of Pharmacy Educators and Community Pharmacy Practitioners. In this role, Dr. Luchen leads initiatives that influence practice and education across the care continuum. Dr. Luchen completed her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Kansas, a postgraduate year 1 Community-Based Residency with the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy and Balls Food Stores, and the Executive Fellowship in Association Leadership and Management at ASHP.
