In this Pharmacy Leadership Episode, David Chen sits down with the Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders Distinguished Service Awardee Kristi Gullickson to discuss what membership within the Section and ASHP means to her and how it has helped her develop as a pharmacy practice leader.

Kristi K. Gullickson, PharmD, MBA, DPLA, FASHP, FMSHP is the director of pharmacy at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, part of Allina Health in Minneapolis, Minnesota with additional system-level responsibility for pharmacy operations and oncology. She is the residency program director for the PGY1/PGY2 HSPAL residency program. Gullickson is currently serving on the ASHP Board of Directors and has served the Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders as Chair and Director at Large of the Executive Committee. She is a Fellow of ASHP and MSHP and MSHP Hallie Bruce Memorial Lecture Awardee.
David Chen, RPh, MBA is the vice president for pharmacy leadership and planning at ASHP. His role includes supporting ASHP’s Pharmacy Executive Leadership Alliance, Pharmacists in C-Suites initiative, Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders, and Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residents’ Collaborative. David coordinates efforts of ASHP members in publications, advocacy, education on pharmacy leadership, continuity of care, manager development, reimbursement rules & regulations, specialty pharmacy, and multi-hospital health systems.
Mr. Chen earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and his MBA from the Loyola University of Maryland. He has been with ASHP since 2004 and previously served as director of pharmacy at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, Maryland including the Kessler/Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital.
