In this Pharmacy Leadership Episode, Melanie Smith sits down with the Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners 2022 Awardee, Mollie Ashe Scott, to discuss what membership within the Section and ASHP means to her and how it has helped her develop as a pharmacy practice leader.

Mollie Scott, PharmD, BCACP, CPP, FASHP is Regional Associate Dean at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and Chair of Pharmacotherapy at Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC). She served six years on the Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners’ Executive Committee as Director-at-Large and Chair. Dr. Scott is a recognized Fellow of ASHP. She is the proud mother of two young men, Jacob and Colin, and she and her husband Robert call the mountains of North Carolina home.
Melanie R. Smith, PharmD, BCACP, DPLA is a director in the ASHP Office of Member Relations. She serves as an ASHP information resource and provides guidance on pharmacy practice in ambulatory care settings. Dr. Smith received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina and her Doctor of Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency at the Lexington VA Medical Center. She also holds her Board Certification in Ambulatory Care and completed the Pharmacy Leadership Academy through the ASHP Foundation.
