This podcast provides an engaging interview with four pharmacy leaders who have had successful careers and contributed to health system professional associations. Lindsey Amerine, Lindsey Kelley, Alexsandra Nilges, and Noemie Kanene will share their insights on their professional journeys as pharmacists and association leaders.

SPEAKERS

Lindsey AmerineLindsey B. Amerine, PharmD, MS, BCPS, FASHP is system executive director of Pharmacy for UNC Health, Coordinator for the HSPAL Residency, and an Associate Professor of Clinical Education at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (ESOP). Dr. Amerine earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy and her Master of Science degree with an emphasis in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from the UNC ESOP while completing her two-year HSPA Residency at UNC Hospitals. Dr. Amerine is the 2022-2023 Chair for the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders.

Linda KelleyLindsey R. Kelley, PharmD, MS, FASHP is associate chief of pharmacy at University of Michigan Health, Michigan Medicine. In this role she also serves as program director for the postgraduate year 1 Community Pharmacy Residency and adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. Dr. Kelley has been an active member of national pharmacy associations, state affiliates, and advisory councils. She serves as a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Directors Forum and as an advisory board member for IBM Micromedex. She currently serves as Chair-Elect for the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders. Dr. Kelley was honored with the ASHP New Practitioners Forum Distinguished Service Award in 2010 and recognized as a fellow in 2019.

Alexsandra NilgesAlex Nilges is a PGY2/MS resident in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) at Cleveland Clinic. This year, she serves as chair of ASHP’s Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residents’ Collaborative (PALRC) alongside many talented HSPALs across the nation. Prior to residency, Alex attended Kent State University where she received a BS in Chemistry. Alex went on to complete her PharmD and MBA at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy and Gatton College of Business, respectively.

Noemie KaneneNoemie Kanene is a PGY1/MS Health-System Pharmacy Administration & Leadership (HSPAL) resident at University of North Carolina (UNC) Health medical center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She currently serves as the vice chair for the ASHP Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Resident Collaborative

Antonia AkrapAntonia Akrap, PharmD, MS, BCPS is the manager of perioperative pharmacy services at Massachusetts General Hospital. She completed her PGY-1/2 Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency at Mass General prior to taking her current role. As a PGY-2 resident, Antonia served as the 2021-2022 Chair of the Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residents’ Collaborative (PALRC) and is a current member of the Frontline Leaders SAG.
