A conversation with the 2022-2023 Chair of the ASHP Section of Specialty Pharmacy Practitioners (SSPP), Dr. Scott Canfield. Listeners will learn about Scott’s pharmacy practice experience and practice journey thus far, as well as his experiences as a leader in health system specialty pharmacy.

SPEAKERS

Scott CanfieldScott Canfield, PharmD, CSP is assistant director for Clinical Program Development for Johns Hopkins Home Care Group located in Baltimore, MD. He is responsible for leading new program development and implementation with a focus on specialty pharmacy services across outpatient and home infusion services. Dr. Canfield also oversees pharmaceutical pipeline and specialty channel management, manufacturer engagement, and expansion of internal and external partnerships opportunities within research and patient outcomes.

Gabrielle PierceGabrielle Pierce, PharmD, MBA is the director for the Section of Specialty Pharmacy Practitioners at ASHP. Prior to this role, Dr. Pierce served as an ASHP executive fellow in Association Leadership and Management. She received her Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Master of Business Administration, and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of South Carolina. Following this, she completed an ASHP-accredited postgraduate year 1 residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago within their Specialty Pharmacy Services team.
