Ella Domingo is a rising second-year student pharmacist at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where she also completed her two undergraduate years in pre-pharmacy. She is involved in Purdue's Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists as the President-Elect for the 2020-21 academic year. Ella promotes global health initiatives across campus as the Global Health Roundtable Chair of Purdue Timmy Global Health and, also through this organization, is a Get Onboard Active Living (GOAL) volunteer for Indiana University Health where she teaches young students about healthy living through nutrition and exercise. She is a pharmacy intern at Rock Valley Compounding Pharmacy, a Presentation Lead Ambassador for Purdue's Honors College Ambassadors, and a Purdue Student Advisory Board member. Outside of school, she helps with music ministry at her church, enjoys singing and playing different instruments, and loves running and fitness. After pharmacy school, Ella plans on pursuing a residency and is interested in cardiology. She is thankful for all she has learned through the ASHP summer internship, which has strengthened her passion for advocacy and advancement of the profession.
Delaney McGuirt is a rising second-year student pharmacist at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore. She received her Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Science with a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following graduation, Delaney spent four years working in medical imaging and clinical research, both at UNC and then the National Institutes of Health (NIH). During that time, she gained experience in professional conference presentation, journal and textbook publication, and leadership development. In pharmacy school, she holds multiple leadership positions including President-Elect of Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS) Pharmacy Leadership Society. She is also involved in research with faculty and serves as a Graduate Research Assistant with PATIENTS, a University of Maryland School of Pharmacy program working to achieve health equity and advance patient-centered outcomes research. Delaney plans on pursuing post-graduate training and has future interests in cardiology, public health, and policy.
Gina Luchen, Pharm.D. serves as the Director of Academic Programs at ASHP. In this role, Dr. Luchen leads the development and implementation of programs and initiatives related to student pharmacists, schools and colleges of pharmacy, and pharmacy educators. She serves as staff liaison to the Pharmacy Student Forum and Section of Pharmacy Educators. Prior to this role, Dr. Luchen served as an ASHP Executive Fellow in Association Leadership and Management at ASHP. She received her Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical Studies and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. Following her studies, she completed a PGY1 Community-Based Residency at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy in conjunction with Balls Food Stores in Olathe, KS.
