The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has affected many pediatric patient's access to health care professionals. As a result, patients may now be off schedule for their immunizations. This podcast aims to review the various CDC charts describing vaccination schedules, discuss the application of the catch-up immunization chart in clinical practice, explain the impact of the COVID-19 vaccine on other vaccines, and provide additional resources for unique clinical situations.

SPEAKERS

Kimberly JohnstoneKimberly Johnstone is a PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Resident at St. Louis Children's Hospital. She is originally from Washington state and attended the University of Washington for her undergraduate degree. She went to pharmacy school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She is interested in careers in critical care and hematology/oncology.

Lea EilandDr. Lea Eiland is a Clinical Professor and Associate Department Head of Pharmacy Practice at Auburn University, Harrison School of Pharmacy. Dr. Eiland received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Texas at Austin and completed a pediatric specialty residency at Texas Tech University. She is a board-certified pharmacotherapy and pediatric pharmacy specialist and has practiced in the general pediatric inpatient setting and general and specialty pediatric clinics.

Sonya SebastianDr. Sonya Sebastian graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Butler University. Dr. Sebastian has been a pharmacist at Nationwide Children's since 2001 and has been a clinical pharmacist in Primary Care Network for the past 16 years and the Pharmacy Coordinator for Ambulatory services for the past 6 years. Dr. Sebastian’s interests include immunizations, medication safety, and transitions of care.
