In today's episode, the NYCSHP share their story & lessons learned in their wellbeing and resilience journey. Our speakers discuss how they have engaged their peers and chapter members in the prevention of burnout and building resilience during the pandemic.

SPEAKERS

Harshal ShuklaHarshal Shukla is a Clinical Pharmacy Manager for Surgical Services and Anesthesiology at the Montefiore Medical Center located in the Bronx, NY. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy at Long Island University. Dr. Shukla completed his PGY-1 residency at Montefiore Medical Center. He successfully completed the ASHP Pharmacy Leadership Academy in 2020. Dr. Shukla currently serves as the President of the New York City Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Jessica SneadJessica Snead, PharmD, BCPS, BCGP, is a Clinical Pharmacy Manager in Internal Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. After receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University, she completed a PGY1 Residency at Montefiore Medical Center and a PGY2 Residency in Internal Medicine at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. Jess has dedicated much of her 2020 energy focusing on co-creating the first Well-Being and Resilience Committee for New York City Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Alana CiolekAlana Ciolek, PharmD, BCPS, is a Clinical Pharmacy Manager in Cardiothoracic Intensive Care at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Jefferson College of Pharmacy, and completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency and PGY2 cardiology residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Alana has dedicated much of her time in 2020 to creating and co-chairing the first Well-Being and Resilience Committee for the New York City Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Christina MartinChristina Y. Martin, Pharm.D., M.S., is the Director of Membership Forums. In this role, Dr. Martin leads the development and implementation of strategies and programs for student and new practitioner members. Dr. Martin received her Pharm.D. from the University of Pittsburgh before completing a combined PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency at the University of Kansas Hospital. Dr. Martin holds a Master of Science degree in Pharmacy Practice from the University of Kansas. Dr. Martin is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives, currently serving on the Young Professional Committee.
