Residency program directors (RPD) from across the country will discuss successful personal and health system resiliency strategies across the spectrum for supporting individual well-being and cultivating organizational cultures committed to mitigating occupational burnout. Content will include members sharing experiences related to individual and organizational resiliency, implementation of solutions, and strategies for self-care.
SPEAKERS
Seena L. Haines, PharmD, BCACP, FCCP, FAPhA, FASHP, BC-ADM, CDE is chair, department of pharmacy practice and professor at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. Previously, she served as professor and associate dean of faculty at Palm Beach Atlantic University, Gregory School of Pharmacy, director of pharmacy services at four community health centers, and co-director of the Diabetes Education and Research Center with the Florida Atlantic University School of Nursing. Haines has also served as pharmacy residency program director in ambulatory care and academia.
Melanie Townsend graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2004 from the University of Wyoming. Thereafter, she was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy and worked as a pharmacist in San Diego for 3 years. She also completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency in the Navy. In 2007, Melanie became Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy and relocated to Billings, Montana. Her current position at Billings Clinic is the Program Director for Pharmacy Residency.
Dr. Brooke Stevens is the specialty pharmacy clinical manager at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN. She also works as the HIV clinical pharmacist at The Ryan White Center for Pediatric Infectious Disease and Global Health at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. She is credentialed as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist as well as an HIV Specialist through the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
