SPEAKERS
Thuy McKitrick is an ambulatory care pharmacist with over 15 years of experience in community pharmacy, primary care and managed care settings. Having worked in these various settings, she was able to see where pharmacists were successful which garnered more motivation to grow the profession. She is passionate about ensuring pharmacy is always part of the conversation when it comes to enriching patient care as well as being an integral part of a healthcare team.
Kisha Gant is the Pharmacy Director and PGY1 Residency Director at Slidell Memorial Hospital. She completed her Bachelor’s degrees in biology and mathematics at the University of New Orleans. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana, where she also completed a PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency. She serves on various state, local, and organizational committees and workgroups. Dr. Gant currently resides in Slidell, LA with her husband and four wonderful children.
Dr. Stewart currently supports the medical affairs arm of Infectious Diseases & Vaccines for Janssen Scientific Affairs as a Sr. MSL dedicated to facilitating scientific exchange and engagement with thought leaders in vaccinology research and implementation. She has served within academia and as an Infectious Diseases Clinical Specialist as well as leading Antimicrobial Stewardship program development in pediatric and adult settings. She earned her B.S. in Chemistry from Southern University and A&M College, M.S. in Environmental Engineering from University of Florida, and Pharm.D. from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and completed PGY 1 residency training at Huntsville Hospital System.
Maria F. Carias, M.B.A., M.S., is the Director of Member Operations within the ASHP Office of Member Relations. In this role, Ms. Carias coordinates the operational logistics for various ASHP initiatives. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Policy from American University and both her Master’s of Science in Project Management and Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Ms. Carias was recognized as a 2020 recipient of the ASHP CEO Award for Staff Excellence.
