Foundational Track

Established Track

10:00 am – 12:30 pm

Choose this track if you are new to specialty pharmacy or just beginning to build outcomes efforts. Faculty will address setting goals and strategy for incorporating outcomes into your specialty pharmacy, building infrastructure to complete outcomes projects, finding and utilizing internal and external resources for outcomes projects, an overview of the research process and execution, and planning for disseminating outcomes research.

Key areas of focus:

  • Setting a strategy, building infrastructure, motivating team
  • Finding and utilizing internal and external resources
  • Overview of research process, setting timelines, planning for dissemination

Choose this track if you have some experience in performing outcomes research within your specialty pharmacy. Faculty will address leveraging outcomes as a value story with stakeholders, incorporating outcomes research findings into practice, and expanding outcomes research efforts through collaboration with other health system specialty pharmacies and industry leaders.

Key areas of focus:

  • Communicating outcomes research findings through presentations, publications, and other mediums
  • Incorporating findings into practice and building real-time outcomes feedback to pharmacists and providers in clinic
  • Collaborating with health-systems for multisite studies and manufacturers for funded research
