The Executive Fellowship is a paid 12-month program housed at ASHP Headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland that provides fellow(s) with hands-on training in all facets of not-for-profit association leadership and management, with areas of focus including the following:

  • Practice and Standards Development
  • Publishing
  • Marketing and Sales
  • Strategic Planning
  • Finance
  • Human Resources
  • Governance
  • Public Relations
  • Educational Program Development

  • Product and Program Development
  • Accreditation
  • Conference and Convention Management

Fellowship Stipend and Benefits

  • $56,000
  • Medical/prescription drug/vision and dental through ASHP’s group plans
  • Paid vacation leave
  • Paid sick leave

  • Financial support for selected meetings

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy
  • Eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in a U.S. state or territory
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency is preferred
  • Strong involvement as a volunteer leader
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, and emotional intelligence
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. ASHP is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa.
