Funding for pharmacy residency programs is in jeopardy due to the arbitrary and inconsistent application of cost-reporting requirements by contractors who audit pharmacy residency programs on behalf of CMS.
ASHP recently asked CMS to suspend disallowances related to this issue and provide technical assistance so that pharmacy residency programs know what they need to do to comply with the agency's cost accounting processes.
