Reason for the Shortage

- Akorn ceased operation in 2023.
- Alcon has Mydriacyl 1% ophthalmic solution available.
- Bausch Health did not provide a reason for the shortage.
- Sandoz has tropicamide 1% ophthalmic solution available.
- Somerset has tropicamide 1% ophthalmic solution available.

Estimated Resupply Dates

- Bausch Health has tropicamide 1% in 2 mL bottles on long-term back order and the company cannot estimate a release date. Tropicamide 0.5% in 15 mL bottles is on intermittent back order and the company is releasing supplies as they become available.
