Reason for the Shortage

    • Akorn discontinued diltiazem injection in mid-2022.
    • Athenex divested diltiazem to Sagent in June 2023.
    • Eugia launched diltiazem injection in June 2023.
    • Hikma did not provide a reason for the shortage.
    • Pfizer did not provide a reason for the shortage. They discontinued the 5 mL vials in early-2021. The 10 mL vials were discontinued in September 2021.
