Reason for the Shortage

    • Cooper Surgical discontinued iodine and potassium iodide topical solution in the summer of 2023.
    • Gordon Laboratories did not provide a reason for the shortage.
    • Safecor has recalled several lots of Strong Iodine Solution due to not meeting current good manufacturing practices.
