Safety Measures and COVID-19

ASHP is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all in-person ASHP meeting and event participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, exhibitors and staff. ASHP is closely monitoring the situation in connection with COVID-19. Information about COVID-19 for travelers and tips for prevention are available on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) website. In addition, ASHP is in close coordination and ongoing conversations with ASHP’s housing provider, venue, and airline and travel industry liaisons. ASHP is committed to compliance with all applicable requirements imposed by federal, state, and local health authorities in connection with the location of the applicable in-person ASHP meeting or event.

ASHP recognizes that COVID-19 is a serious and evolving situation. ASHP will review and update applicable policies and procedures on an ongoing basis, as indicated. ASHP will implement specific health and safety protocols appropriate to the public health circumstances existing at the time of the applicable in-person meeting or event and will provide further details about the comprehensive on-site preparedness plan to address the safety and well-being of all participants.

The responsibility for safe and healthy in-person ASHP meeting and event environments is shared among the venues, hotels, speakers, meeting or event organizers, participants, exhibitors, and staff.  Compliance with some or all of the protocols adopted by ASHP may be mandatory for attendance and participation at the in-person meeting or event.

*Please note that by registering for any in-person ASHP meeting or event you acknowledge and understand that you are knowingly and freely assuming all risks related to illness and infectious diseases, including, but not limited to, COVID-19. Further, you understand that refusal to adhere to any ASHP policy and to abide by ASHP’s published safety measures and precautions may result in a participant’s expulsion from the event and cancellation of their registration, without receiving a refund.
