As a pharmacist your primary responsibility is caring for your patients. ASHP represents your interests in Washington DC with regulatory agencies, the White House, and Capitol Hill to ensure the interests of you and your patients are being met. Some of the ways you can give your members of Congress a real world perspective on how legislation will affect your patients, your practice site, and your community are: inviting them on a tour of your practice site; sending an e-mail to your representative and senators and asking to meet; visiting their Washington DC or district office; or volunteering on a campaign.
