Bonnie Levin, Pharm.D., M.B.A., FASHP

Bonnie Levin, Pharm.D., M.B.A, FASHP, became interested in pharmacy at an early age. “My dad was a pharmacist, and we lived across the street from his community pharmacy,” said Bonnie, who is the Assistant Vice President of Pharmacy Services at MedStar Health in Washington, DC.

Bonnie joined ASHP as a student pharmacist. “When I attended my first Midyear Clinical Meeting, I was hooked,” she said. “ASHP ‘gets’ what we do.”

She has held several leadership roles in ASHP, including serving as the Chair of the Section Advisory Group on Multi-Hospital Pharmacy Executives (2013-2014). She was a member of the ASHP Foundation Clinical Advisory Council, and Co-Chair of the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology, Section Advisory Group on Clinical Information Systems, Co-Chair (2007-2008).

Bonnie encourages her student pharmacists to say “yes” to new opportunities. “You never know where they will lead,” she said.
