Staff Pharmacist

Medford, WI

ASHP MEMBER SINCE 2006

Codee Peterson, Pharm.D., has pharmacy running through her veins. Her grandparents owned and operated a small independent pharmacy in rural Wisconsin, and she spent many a day there as a child. “My family is an inspiration to me, and they always encouraged and supported my decision to become a pharmacist,” she said.

Codee is currently a pharmacist at the Aspirus Medford Hospital and Clinics in Medford, Wis. She feels as if ASHP has been with her during her entire pharmacy journey. “From when I joined in 2006 as student, to resident, to new practitioner, to each point in my career thus far, I have utilized the resources and people of ASHP to help me along the way,” she said.

She fondly recalls her first Midyear Clinical Meeting presentation in 2013. “I collaborated with two other practitioners from other parts of the country to put together a really great presentation,” said Codee. “What a fun and rewarding experience!”

She has held several leadership positions at ASHP, including serving as ASHP Student Society President (2008–2009), a member of the New Practitioners Leadership and Career Development Advisory Group (2012–2013), and as Vice Chair (2016–2017) and Chair (2017–2018) of the Section of Inpatient Care Practitioners Advisory Group on Small and Rural Hospitals.
