ASHP MEMBER SINCE 2009

Emmanuel N. Enwere, Jr., Pharm.D., M.S., is a second-generation pharmacist. Although both of his parents are pharmacists, he credits the mentorship and great relationships he has built through ASHP membership for helping him build a solid pharmacy foundation. “I believe experience is the best teacher, so I highly value the large network of seasoned pharmacists that ASHP has to offer,” said Emmanuel, who joined ASHP in 2009 as a student.

Emmanuel is a Senior Pharmacy Clinical Informatics Specialist at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. “As a clinical informatics pharmacist, I am most proud of my ability to develop clinical decision support tools that help guide healthcare providers to make better decisions that result in improved patient outcomes,” said Dr. Enwere.

He is also passionate about volunteering and currently serves on the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology Advisory Group, which he joined in 2015. “I have been fortunate to lead a workgroup that has focused on evaluating how technology positively impacts pharmacy transitions of care services through a variety of different projects,” said Emmanuel.

He also collaborated on a variety of ASHP initiatives while serving as an Advisory Group Member on the ASHP New Practitioners Forum from 2013 to 2016.
