Professional Interests
My professional interests include population health, chronic disease management, value-based care, and academia. I am most passionate about population health and teaching others about this area! I believe that pharmacists are underutilized in population health/value-based care and can truly help to care for all populations in a variety of ways - from helping to address social determinants of health to chronic disease management and education to medication optimization.

Why did you become involved in ASHP?
I became involved in ASHP to learn more about innovative pharmacy practices, network with pharmacy individuals across the country, and to advocate for the profession.

What would you tell others if asked how to get involved with ASHP?
I would encourage them to read the ASHP newsletters, social media, and emails to look for opportunities to learn and become involved! I have really enjoyed being a part of the New Practitioners Forum and serving on an advisory group.

What unique characteristics and perspectives do you bring to your everyday work or the pharmacy profession?
I have pharmacy experience in independent pharmacy, large chain retail pharmacy, pharmacy association management, ambulatory care, and population health/value-based care which has allowed me to see SO many areas of pharmacy and really understand how our profession can help advance and improve patient care in every setting.

What do you like to do for fun? What are some of your interests/hobbies outside of pharmacy?
I enjoy running, spending time with friends and family, trying new restaurants, traveling, walking my dog, and reading! A fun fact about me is that I ran my second full marathon in November 2022!

What advice would you give to other new practitioners?
Follow your passions and don't be scared to step outside of your comfort zone, both professionally and personally!
