Professional Interests

As a new practitioner I am still searching for a specific passion within critical care. My professional interests include trauma response and building my skills as a clinical preceptor.

Why did you become involved in ASHP?

During APPE rotations, I had multiple mentors describe their experience with getting involved as an ASHP New Practitioners Forum Advisory Group member, and thought it sounded like a fun way to get to know other new practitioners from around the country!

What would you tell others if asked how to get involved with ASHP?

I think the New Practitioners Forum is a great way to get started with ASHP involvement. It's a great way to do something for the profession of pharmacy, but isn't too overwhelming in terms of workload (I've been able to manage staying involved during PGY1 and PGY2 residency... So far!)

What do you like to do for fun? What are some of your interests/hobbies outside of pharmacy?

When I'm not busy with resident responsibilities I like to try out new coffee shops or breweries in Columbus. I also have gotten back into reading; my favorite genre is Mystery! A fun fact about me is that I grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming, but have still not made it to Yellowstone National Park.
