Stephen J. Davis is a Pharmacy Operations Manager and Residency Program Director at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. He is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy (UHCOP) where he assists with educating future pharmacy leaders affiliated with The Houston Program – Pharmacy Leadership & Administration.

Dr. Davis received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Auburn University’s Harrison School of Pharmacy. He completed a two year Health System Pharmacy Administration residency at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He obtained his Master of Science degree in Health System Pharmacy Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He is also a Certified Professional in Patient Safety.

Dr. Davis has served as a member and chair on the ASHP New Practitioners Leadership and Career Development Advisory Group and has been an active member on the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Practice Managers and Advisory Groups. Davis is a current faculty member for the ASHP Manager’s Boot Camp and a member of the ASHP Commission on Credentialing. He is also involved at the state level as he has served as the Past Treasurer for the Gulf Coast Society of Health System Pharmacists, Past Chair of the Texas Society of Health System Pharmacists (TSHP) Editorial Advisory Board, and is an active member of the TSHP Education Affairs Council. Dr. Davis received the 2015 TSHP Pharmacy Leadership Award for demonstrating leadership and vision in advancing the practice and profession and improving patient care. He also received the 2016 Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award from the Auburn Alumni Association in Auburn University. He has been invited as a platform speaker to over thirty formal conferences and meetings at the local, state, and national level, and has also authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles.
