What is your current involvement with the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum (i.e. advisory group or executive committee appointment)?

Career and Leadership Development Advisory Group member.

What is your favorite part of your ASHP student membership? What has been most beneficial about being a student member of ASHP?

I truly value the time that I have had within ASHP as it has given rise to so many opportunities for professional growth, networking, and career development. Getting to work alongside other students from across the country is such a unique experience and serving on the advisory group is something I don't take lightly. My favorite part of my time within ASHP has been the vast network that has come out of this opportunity. As I prepare for residency applications, there are so many people that have offered their support and their expertise when I have worries or questions come up.

What is your favorite memory from an ASHP event, project, or program?

My favorite ASHP event was through our local chapter where we hosted a conference that allowed student to have their first in-person meeting and networking event. We had over 30 students participate and learn more about how pharmacy is progressing and how we could be the future advocates of the profession.

What advice do you have for pharmacy students seeking to become involved in national organizations?

Take advantage of this opportunity! If you are here and considering, you are already taking the right steps into bettering yourself, your career, and your future. Now it's time to use your skills and make a difference on a national level.
