Angela’s Story

Angela L. Bingham, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCNSP, BCCCP, is Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy Administration at the University of the Sciences - Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University in Camden, New Jersey. She practices as a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in the medical/surgical intensive care unit at Cooper University Hospital and serves as the Residency Program Director for the PGY2 Critical Care Residency Program at Cooper University Hospital/Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Bingham earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the South Carolina College of Pharmacy and South Carolina Honors College at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina in 2010. For post-graduate training, she completed a pharmacy practice residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland (2010-2011). She then specialized in critical care at The Regional Medical Center at Memphis in conjunction with The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee (2011-2012).

Dr. Bingham serves as a member of the Section Advisory Group on Preceptor Skills Development. Also, she serves on the ASHP Critical Care Pharmacy Specialty Recertification Committee. In this role, Dr. Bingham is a faculty member for the ASHP Critical Care Pharmacy Specialty Review and Recertification Course. At the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, she is a co-advisor for the SSHP.

Cooper University Hospital is a 635-bed hospital that is the core teaching hospital for Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.

Significant Projects

Dr. Bingham’s practice, teaching, and research activities focus on pharmacotherapy and nutrition support therapy in critical illness. Additionally, she is engaged in scholarship involving simulation and interprofessional education.
