Biographical Information

I received my Pharm.D. from the University of Louisiana Monroe, followed by a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and a PGY2 in Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership at Yale New Haven Health. I am currently expanding my leadership in healthcare by pursuing an MHA at Louisiana State University Shreveport. I currently work at Ochsner Health.

Current employment, practice, and academic responsibilities:

In my role as the Manager of Specialty Pharmacy at Ochsner Health, I oversee clinical areas including Oncology, Neurology, and Infectious Disease. I also serve as a leadership preceptor for Ochsner Specialty Pharmacy's PGY-1 Community Pharmacy residency program. My responsibilities are multi-faceted and centered around ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care, that our operations run smoothly, and that we are fostering the next generation of pharmacy leaders.

Significant projects and accomplishments:

I have led several key projects, including the implementation of Compass Rose, Epic Systems' Specialty Pharmacy solution, and the development of MyChart Refill Questionnaires for our patients. These initiatives have streamlined operations and enhanced patient engagement, which are essential in our continuous effort to provide exceptional care.

What kind of advice would you provide for someone new to your specialty area?

My advice for those entering the specialty pharmacy field is to commit to understanding the intricacies of their clinical areas deeply, stay abreast of the latest treatments, and always put the patient first.
