National Conference Seeks Presentations on Patient Safety Solutions
"Patient Safety 2000: Spotlighting Strategies, Sharing Solutions" will feature presentations from people who have translated patient safety research into common practice. This series of presentations will occur on the third day of the Joint Commission Resource’s National Conference on Quality and Safety in Health Care.
The presentations will become part of the publication "Compendium of Solutions," to be available early next year. This publication and the NPSF Web site (www.npsf.org) will feature the full versions of all the abstracts that meet the evaluation and selection criteria.
A $10,000 patient safety award will be presented to the best contribution in each of the following categories:
- Elder care,
- Innovative clinical solutions, and
- Patient-provider communication solutions.
Submission guidelines can be obtained by contacting NPSF’s Mitch Dvorak at 312-464-5418 or email@example.com. All abstracts must be received by July 1. (Disregard the deadlines previously announced.)
