
2022 Monkeypox Outbreak
There has been a recent rise in reported cases of monkeypox in the United States and globally. Monkeypox is a viral disease spread through close and intimate contact. This resource center provides access to countermeasures and patient care considerations for the 2022 monkeypox outbreak.
Vaccination may be recommended for patients who are a close personal contact with someone with infected with monkeypox (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis – PrEP), who may have been exposed to the virus (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis – PEP), and who may have increased risk of exposure to the virus (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis plus-plus – PEP++).
