Spark into pharmacy:
My passion for pharmacy began through my interest in infectious diseases, public health, and improving access to care in underserved communities. Through experiences in HIV/AIDS awareness initiatives, vaccine education, and global health advocacy, I saw firsthand how pharmacists serve as accessible healthcare providers, educators, and public health leaders. Pharmacy uniquely combines science, patient care, leadership, and advocacy in a way that aligns perfectly with my passion for improving healthcare systems and supporting communities worldwide.

Journey to PSF Executive Committee:
I first became involved with ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum through their advisory groups. Collaborating with pharmacy students across the country introduced me to the impact ASHP has on shaping future pharmacy leaders. My involvement inspired me to pursue a role on the PSF Executive Committee to continue supporting and representing student pharmacists on a larger scale.
Why PSF Executive Committee:
I applied to join the PSF Executive Committee because I am passionate about empowering student pharmacists, strengthening student engagement, and advancing the future of the profession through leadership and advocacy. I wanted the opportunity to contribute to initiatives that support student growth, foster collaboration, and inspire innovation within pharmacy. I also value the ability to connect with students nationwide, amplify student voices, and help create meaningful experiences that encourage leadership development and professional involvement.
Benefits of being involved in ASHP as a student:
My involvement in ASHP has played a major role in my personal and professional development. Through ASHP, I have developed leadership, communication, and collaboration skills while building meaningful connections with peers, mentors, and pharmacy leaders across the country. ASHP has provided opportunities to engage in national initiatives, professional development programming, and advocacy efforts that have strengthened my confidence and broadened my perspective on the profession. The organization has also helped me grow as a leader while reinforcing my passion for infectious diseases, public health, and advancing pharmacy practice.
Goals for the year as a PSF Executive Committee Member:
I hope to strengthen opportunities that encourage student engagement, leadership development, and professional growth within ASHP. I am especially passionate about supporting initiatives related to student advocacy, wellness, and career exploration while helping students feel connected and represented within the profession.
