Denise ScarpelliDenise Scarpelli, PharmD, MBA is the Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer at the University of Chicago. Previously, she was the Executive Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy and Business Development at the University of Chicago since 2017. Before coming to the University of Chicago, she held many leadership roles at Walgreens leading Pharmacy Operations in Chicago for over 20 years. Scarpelli earned a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Illinois at Chicago- College of Pharmacy in 1996 and a Master’s in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2021. Scarpelli has been a member of the Illinois Board of Pharmacy since 2015 and is currently serving as the chair of the Board of Pharmacy. She is also the Chair of the ASHP Section on Specialty Pharmacy Practitioners and has served as Chair of the Sections Advisory Group (SAG) on Business Development in 2020.

Matthew RimKatrina (Katie) Derry, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP is the Director for Acute Care Clinical Pharmacy Programs at University of California Office of the President where she is responsible for medication use oversight University of California academic medical centers. Dr. Derry is a member of the ASHP Commission on Credentialing and the Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders Value, Quality, and Compliance Advisory Group. She is also an involved member of SCCM Southern California Chapter, Vizient Pharmacy Network, and ACCP Committees.

Mandy LeonardMandy Leonard, PharmD, BCPS earned her BS in Pharmacy and PharmD from Duquesne University. She completed a Drug Information Practice Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. For the past 25 years, Dr. Leonard has overseen the Department of Pharmacy Drug Information Service at Cleveland Clinic. She is responsible for drug shortages, drug recalls, REMS programs, drug use policy and formulary management for the Cleveland Clinic Health-System. Dr. Leonard is also responsible for developing the drug budget annually and initiating and tracking drug cost savings initiatives.

Andrew LevitskySuzanne Shea, BS Pharm, MBA is Vice President, System Pharmacy & Clinical Nutrition at Sharp HealthCare since 2018. Prior to her role at Sharp, she was Regulatory Director at CPS for California specializing in 340B and regulatory gap analysis. Suzanne worked for 18 years at Cardinal Health starting as a pharmacy director and leaving as Vice President, Pharmacy Operations to work at Kaiser Permanente as Vice President, Northern California Pharmacy. Suzanne is a proud graduate of The University of Texas College of Pharmacy receiving her BS, Pharmacy and then earned an MBA, Healthcare Administration.
