ABOUT THIS PODCAST
Pertussis is an easily transmissible disease that is prevented through appropriate vaccination. Infants, especially young infants, are susceptible to contracting pertussis, and are at highest risk of requiring hospitalization, supportive management, and encountering morbidity and mortality related to the infection. After this episode, listeners will be able to discuss the clinical presentation and management of an infant with pertussis and review the vaccination processes to prevent transmission of pertussis.
