Ryan Haumschild PharmD, MS, MBA, is currently the Director of Pharmacy at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, GA. Ryan completed is undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida and then obtained his Masters of Business Administration from South University before completing pharmacy school at the University of Florida. After receiving his doctorate of pharmacy Ryan completed a PGY1/PGY2 residency in Health System Pharmacy Administration at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center while obtaining his Master’s Degree in Health Services Pharmacy Administration from The Ohio State University. Dr. Haumschild has oversight for oncology and infusion pharmacy services, retail and specialty pharmacies, finance and 340B program, ambulatory surgical centers, and clinical pharmacy services. He has expertise in controlled substance management and hazardous drug handling. He also has responsibility within Emory Healthcare and throughout the drug supply chain for pathway development and product utilization. He has completed and published research around medication safety, specialty pharmacy, pharmacy leadership, hazardous drug compounding, and integrated facility design.

Bernadette Henrichs, PhD, CRNA, CCRN, CHSE, FAANA, is Professor and Director of the Nurse Anesthesia and PhD in Nursing Programs at Goldfarb School of Nursing-Barnes-Jewish College. She is Director of CRNA Education and Research in the Anesthesiology Department at Washington University, St. Louis. She received her anesthesia training in 1994 from Washington University and her MSN in 1993 and her PhD in 1999 from St. Louis University. She received the AANA Program Director of the Year in 2017 and was inducted as a Fellow of the AANA in August. She serves on the Drug Diversity Committee for Barnes-Jewish Hospital and is passionate about preventing drug diversion in the hospital.

John B. Hertig, PharmD, MS, CPPS, FASHP, is Vice-Chair and an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice in the Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (Indianapolis, USA). Dr. Hertig lectures around the world and publishes on a variety of patient safety, leadership, administration, health policy topics. His extensive research program is designed to enhance the safety of the medication use process, while using evidence to inform patient advocacy efforts. Dr. Hertig is a Member of the United States Food and Drug Administration Drug Safety and Risk Management Advisory Committee. He holds other national and international appointments, including with the International Pharmaceutical Federation, where he is Vice President of the Americas for the Hospital Pharmacy Section, and as President of the Board of Directors for the Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies – Global (ASOP), where he leads efforts to reduce the patient safety impact of illegal and counterfeit online drug distribution worldwide. He was awarded the ASOP Global Patient Safety Champion Award in 2018. Dr. Hertig received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from Purdue University (USA). He completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice and PGY2 health-system pharmacy administration residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center while also obtaining a Masters degree in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from The Ohio State University (USA).
