This podcast aims to explore what health disparity and equity is, examine their connection to Pharmacoequity and discuss how the P&T committee can address these issues within the formulary review process.



Angela M. Colella Angela Colella (she/her) is the manager of the Enterprise Drug Policy Center for Advocate Health, a 67-hospital health system in WI, IL, NC and GA. She obtained an undergraduate degree in English literature from University of Wisconsin, Madison and a PharmD from Concordia University Wisconsin. She completed a post-graduate year 1 residency at Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, WI. Colella’s service to ASHP includes active membership on the Council of Pharmacy Practice and in the Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists. 

Gift NwekeGift Nweke, PharmD, MS, BCPS, DPLA, she/her is a system pharmacy manager at Novant Health. She supports formulary management by leveraging pharmacoeconomics, outcomes research and variation analysis. Other areas of leadership include resident and student development programs along with training programs for pharmacists and technicians. Gift earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Texas Southern University and completed a combined postgraduate years 1 and 2, MS residency, and graduate program in health system administration at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center and the University of Houston.
