In this podcast Dean James Scott of Touro University California College of Pharmacy and Dr. Daniel Cobaugh will share Dean’s Scott’s life experiences and his academic leadership journey as a gay man.

SPEAKERS

James ScottDr. James Scott received his PharmD in 1994 from UF. He completed his geriatrics residency in 1995, and an ID fellowship in 1997. He was Director of Infection Management at the Clinical Pharmacokinetics Laboratory in Buffalo for three years before joining WesternU in 2000. His research, clinical practice, and academic interests focused on HIV. From 2010-2021 he was an associate dean at WesternU. In 2021 he was named Dean of Touro University California College of Pharmacy.

Dan CobaughDaniel J. Cobaugh, PharmD, FAACT, DABAT is the vice president of publishing at ASHP and the editor-in-chief of AJHP.  He received his BS in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh and his Doctor of Pharmacy from Duquesne University.  Cobaugh completed an ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh and a clinical toxicology fellowship at the Pittsburgh Poison Center.  He practiced as pharmacist-clinical toxicologist and held faculty appointments at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the University of Rochester Medical Center.
