How to have a Successful PAI Week: Hear It from SSHP Leaders

This podcast will discuss how Student Societies of Health-System Pharmacists (SSHP) leaders have successfully executed PAI week at their college or school of pharmacy. A panel of members from different student societies around the nation share their insights to help every SSHP plan the best PAI week yet.

SPEAKERS

Keegan McCauleyKeegan McCauley is a third-year student at UF College of Pharmacy – Gainesville. Originally from Grand Junction, CO, Keegan moved to New Orleans to pursue his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Loyola University. Upon graduating, Keegan then commissioned as an Officer in the Navy and was stationed in Mayport, FL. He served on two ships, USS Philippine Sea (CG-58) and USS The Sullivans (DDG-68). With his service obligation complete, Keegan started pharmacy school becoming involved in SSHP, Kappa Psi, and Phi Lambda Sigma. After pharmacy school, Keegan is most interested in pursuing a residency in Pharmacy Administration and Leadership.

Adam CreggerAdam Cregger is in his final year of pharmacy school at South College School of Pharmacy in Knoxville, Tennessee. He has a strong passion for hospital pharmacy practice. After graduation, he plans to pursue a PGY-1 hospital residency. His career interests include cardiology, infectious disease, oncology, and solid organ transplant. He is also a proud Virginia Tech alum, and can always be found cheering on the Hokies.

Andrew LangAndrew Lang, Pharm.D. Candidate Class of 2021, is a current P4 student on APPE rotations from the University of Texas at Tyler. He currently serves as the Vice-Chair at the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP) Student Section Executive Committee (SSEC) and on the 2020-2021 ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum (APPAG) Advisory Group. Andrew is passionate in the fields of critical care, infectious disease, and pharmacy administration.

Stephanie HendricksStephanie Hendricks is a fourth-year student at Purdue University College of Pharmacy. As a military dependent, Stephanie has traveled all throughout her childhood, calling many states her home. In 2017, Stephanie graduated from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Biology. Upon graduating, Stephanie began pharmacy school where she is actively involved in CPNP, Purdue's Peer Mentoring Program, tutoring student-athletes, and working in two of Indiana's health-systems. After pharmacy school, Stephanie is interested in pursuing a residency in ambulatory care. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys walking her newly rescued puppy (Watson), perfecting espresso shots, and volunteering in her community.

Steven AstrachanSteven Astrachan, hailing from York, PA, is a Third Year Student Pharmacist at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. He holds a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Science, is a member of the Pediatrics Area of Concentration, and plans to pursue residency training following graduation in 2022. He currently serves as Vice President of Pitt’s SSHP Chapter and looks forward to advising the next chapter board as he moves on to APPE rotations this May.
