Join us for a Well-being Wednesday conversation for our third installation of the financial wellness series. This series is a collaboration with the Section of Clinical Specialist and Scientists (SCSS) and the New Practitioners Forum (NPF) where we discuss areas of personal finance most pertinent to pharmacists and student pharmacists. In this episode, we discuss key strategies and tips for members who want to learn more about investing.

SPEAKERS

Bhavik ShahBhavik Shah earned his doctorate of pharmacy from Rutgers University, and completed post-graduate training in pharmacy practice and infectious diseases at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He is an associate professor at the Jefferson College of Pharmacy and co-director of the Pharmacology thread in the JeffMD curriculum at SIdney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. He is an active member of ASHP and ACCP. Within ASHP, he has served as vice-chair and is currently the chair of the Year-Round Educational Steering Committee for 2020-2021.

Brittany TschaenBrittany Tschaen, PharmD, M.S., is a clinical pharmacist at ChristianaCare, DE. After receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy from Jefferson College of Pharmacy, she completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and a PGY2 residency in internal medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She is currently serving as an ASHP New Practitioners Forum (NPF) executive committee member and liaison to the NPF Residency Advancement Advisory Group (RAAG).

Joe MarchianoJoe Marchiano is a PGY-2 Internal Medicine/Academia Resident at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center and Northeast Ohio Medical University. He completed his PGY-1 residency at the UH Geauga Medical Center and earned his Pharm.D. at Ohio Northern University. Joe currently serves as the Chair of the ASHP NPF Resident Advancement Advisory Group for the 2020-2021 term and is professionally interested in cardiology, infectious disease, psychiatry, and finding ways to better assess teaching.
