SPEAKERS


William Anthony HawkinsWilliam Anthony Hawkins, PharmD, FCCM, BCCP is a faculty member at UGA College of Pharmacy and the Augusta University Medical College and practices in an adult medical ICU. He completed his PharmD at UGA and ICU training at Emory University Hospital. He is board certified in critical care and fellow of American College of Critical Care Medicine. His current research efforts focus on fluid stewardship practice and critical care education with UGA Critical Care Collaborative (UGAC3).

Charles WilsonCharles (CJ) Wilson, PharmD is the current PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Resident at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He completed his Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and his PGY1 Training at the same institution. Upon completion of residency Dr. Wilson will be serving at the Surgical ICU Clinical Specialist at Wesley Medical Center.

Michael LongMichael Long, PharmD is a PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Resident at Indiana University Health located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Long completed his pharmacy education at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and PGY1 postgraduate training at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. His practice interests currently include resuscitation, trauma, and septic shock. After completion of his residency, Dr. Long plans to pursue a career in emergency medicine and participate in disaster preparedness.

Susan SmithSusan E. Smith, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy with a practice site in critical care at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. She also has an appointment as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the AU/UGA Medical Partnership. She has published over 50 manuscripts related to her research interests of hemodynamics of sepsis, including fluid stewardship; critical care pharmacy practice models; and critical care education. Dr. Hawkins is a faculty member at UGA College of Pharmacy and the Augusta University Medical College and practices in an adult medical ICU. He completed his PharmD at UGA and ICU training at Emory University Hospital. He is board certified in critical care and fellow of American College of Critical Care Medicine. His current research efforts focus on fluid stewardship practice and critical care education with UGA Critical Care Collaborative (UGAC3).
