American Society of Health-System Pharmacists® Clinical Skills Competition

The Clinical Skills Competition (CSC) is an interactive, team-based analysis of clinical scenarios for hospital and health-system pharmacists.

It provides pharmacy students the opportunity to enhance their skills in collaborative practice with physicians in providing direct patient care.

The 2020 National CSC Will Be Virtual

We understand that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of Schools and Colleges of Pharmacy are transitioning to virtual or hybrid learning environments. Given the evolving situation, ASHP is leaving the option of how to conduct the local Clinical Skills Competition open to the various Schools and Colleges of Pharmacy. No specific restrictions or platforms will be enforced. In addition, ASHP will be modifying the ASHP SSHP Recognition Requirements for 2020-2021 to allow leniency for SSHPs unable to hold the Clinical Skills Competition.

ASHP has developed a Best Practices Guide to facilitate operations and planning for the 2020 local CSCs.

Competition Dates: Saturday, December 5 - Sunday, December 6
