The nature of drug information and its application, including safety information about medications such as suicide risk, is that it is constantly evolving because of ongoing research and clinical experience and is subject to interpretation and the uniqueness of each clinical situation and patient. While care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the information provided, users of this Resource Center are advised that ASHP, the editors of AHFS Drug Information and ASHP's Special Publishing, contributors, and advisors are not responsible for the continued currency of the information or for any errors or omissions or for any consequences arising thereof, and in no event shall ASHP, its employees or agents be liable for any damages resulting from the use of this Resource Center. Because of the dynamic nature of medication information, users of this information are advised that decisions regarding drug therapy must be based on the independent judgment of the clinician, changing information about a medication (e.g., as reflected in the literature), and changing medical practices.

The following list of medication classes and links to information on individual drugs is drawn from information included in the US Food and Drug Administration's (FDA's) DailyMed website. The DailyMed website is a repository of FDA-approved medication labels ("package inserts"). The DailyMed website provides health information providers and the public with a standard, comprehensive, up-to-date, look- up and download resource of medication content and labeling as found in medication package inserts. The National Library of Medicine (NLM) provides this as a public service.

The medication labeling available through links from the following list to the DailyMed website is what has been most recently submitted by drug companies to FDA as drug listing information (See 21 CFR part 207). The medication labeling on DailyMed has been reformatted to make it easier to read but its content has not been altered or verified by FDA, NLM, or ASHP. Instead, it is the actual information provided by the drug manufacturer. The drug labeling on the DailyMed website may not be the labeling on currently distributed products or identical to the labeling that is approved but may include, for example, strengthened warnings undergoing FDA review or minor editorial changes. For additional information about the DailyMed website, see https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/about- dailymed.cfm.

Other information about drugs may also be available on the DailyMed website. NLM regularly processes data files uploaded from FDA's system and provides and maintains the DailyMed website for the public to use in accessing the information. Additional information about medicines is available for consumers on NLM's MedlinePlus Web site https://www.medlineplus.gov.

At the present time, the DailyMed website does not contain a complete listing of labels for approved prescription drugs. Therefore, the list of medications associated with suicide risk in this Resource Center may not be comprehensive. In addition, because compilation of the list of medications is based on word matches and not on specific indexing of the DailyMed website, some labels may be missed because of unusual terminology. As a result, clinicians and patients should refer to other sources for the latest prescribing information and patient information/medication guides for further information on the suicide risk associated with specific drugs that currently are not included or are susceptible of being missed on the DailyMed website or on the Resource Center list.

FDA also provides continually updated safety information on prescription drugs, including MedWatch Alerts. See https://www.fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch.
