In this next episode with the Navigators, Vicki Basalyga sits down with Jason Briscoe, Director of Pharmacy Operations with Discount Drug Mart and Dave McCormick, Division Director, Immunization Division of the Indiana Department of Public Health to discuss their initial experiences with vaccination roll out at the beginning of the pandemic and the best practices they implemented to vaccinate their patients.

Jason BriscoeJason Briscoe, PharmD, RPh has made major contributions to the public through his countless appearances on local and statewide television and radio, especially in the areas of the health benefits of immunizations. He continues to update the public on the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccine safety and availability. A graduate of Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy, Briscoe is director of Pharmacy Operations at Discount Drug Mart and a recent winner of Ohio Pharmacists Association’s - Pharmacist Public Relations Award.

Dave McCormickDave McCormick is the director of the Indiana Immunization Division at the Indiana Department of Health. In that role, Dave leads a team of public health professionals committed to eliminating vaccine preventable diseases. In 2015, Dave was elected to the Executive Board of the Association of Immunization Managers, serving as chair in 2019. In 2016, Dave was elected to the Executive Board of the American Immunization Registry Association, has served as president, and currently serves as the chair of the Governance Committee.

Vicki BasalygaVicki Basalyga, PharmD, MAS, BCPS, BCPPS is the Director of Member Relations for the Clinical Specialists and Scientists at ASHP. In addition to her Director role, Vicki assists in clinical policy development as the Secretary for the Council on Therapeutics, serves as a representative for ASHP on numerous national clinical initiatives and works with members to create essential tools and resources for leaders, practitioners and educators.
