Reason for the Shortage

    • Almaject did not provide a reason for the shortage.
    • Athenex has paclitaxel injection available.
    • Fresenius Kabi did not provide a reason for the shortage. They are no longer marketing the 6 mg/mL 5 mL vials.
    • Pfizer has paclitaxel injection on shortage due to manufacturing delay.
    • Teva did not provide a reason for the shortage.

Estimated Resupply Dates

    • Almaject has paclitaxel 300 mg/50 mL vials on back order and the company estimates a release date in late-November 2022. We have not received an update at this time.
    • Pfizer has paclitaxel 30 mg/5 mL vials, 100 mg/16.7 mL vials, and 300 mg/50 mL vials available in limited supply.
    • Teva has paclitaxel 30 mg/5 mL, 100 mg/16.7 mL vials, and 300 mg/50 mL vials on back order and the company estimates a release date of January 2023 for the 5 mL and 16.7 mL vials and December 2022 for the 50 mL vials.
