Upon graduating with her Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2015 from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, Dr. Brandenburg went on to complete a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH. Knowing she had a love for pediatric pharmacy practice, Dr. Brandenburg returned to Lexington, KY to complete her Pediatric Pharmacy Specialty Residency under the guidance of Dr. Brian Gardner at the University of Kentucky. Her interests include epilepsy management, health literacy, patient medication adherence and outcomes, and transitions of care.

Christine Bryant is the Team Lead for Clinical Operations, Pediatrics and PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency Program Director at UVA Health Children’s. She attended Purdue University where she obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2016. Immediately after graduating, she continued her post-graduate education with a pharmacy practice residency in Indianapolis at Indiana University Health. She then went on to complete her specialty residency in pediatrics at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health. She moved to Charlottesville, Virginia in 2018 to join the pediatric pharmacy team as a clinical pharmacist until she stepped into her newest role in 2022. Dr. Bryant serves as a clinical preceptor for Virginia Commonwealth University and Shenandoah University. Given her passion for preparing the next generation of pharmacists a lot of her practice focuses on precepting students and pharmacy residents in a variety of pediatric subspecialties, to show them that pediatrics isn’t so bad!

Dana Cerminara is a clinical pharmacy specialist in liver transplant, hepatology, gastroenterology, and nutrition at Texas Children's Hospital, where she has been practicing since 2016. In this role, she has had the opportunity to take care of a wide variety of patients, ranging from patients with chronic liver disease, liver transplant, short bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, as well as numerous other disease states. Dr. Dannelley graduated with her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in 2010. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at the University of Oklahoma in 2015. Soon after, she joined the Cystic Fibrosis Care Team at The Children's Hospital at OU Health as a clinical pharmacist. In 2021, Dr. Dannelley also assumed the role of Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Program Coordinator. Dr. Dannelley offers a longitudinal ambulatory care learning experience in cystic fibrosis for PGY2 pediatric pharmacy residents. She is interested in quality improvement related to CFTR modulators, newborn screening programs, and health equity. She is also passionate about improving access to care in impoverished areas. In her free time, Dr. Dannelley enjoys time with her husband and her two children.

Kaitlin (Katie) Hughes is a clinical pharmacy specialist in pediatric critical care at Riley Hospital for Children. She serves as a preceptor for students and PGY1 and PGY2 residents and lectures in the pediatric electives at Purdue and Butler colleges of pharmacy. Dr. Hughes received her Pharm.D. from Purdue University in 2013. She completed her PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Indiana University Health followed by her PGY2 pediatric pharmacy residency at University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. Dr. Hughes then attained her board certification as pediatric pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPPS) and worked as a clinical specialist in pediatric surgery and surgical critical care at CS Mott Children’s Hospital at Michigan Medicine for two years prior to relocating to Indianapolis. Her current interests include drug dosing in ECMO and renal replacement therapies, neurocritical care, burn, and comfort and delirium in the critically ill child.

Pete Johnson, PharmD is Professor of Pharmacy Practice and President’s Associate Presidential Professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy and Adjunct Professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Over the last 17 years, Dr. Johnson has practiced in both the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Oklahoma Children's Hospital at OU Health. Currently, he spends most of his clinical time in the CICU where he also precepts pharmacy residents and students. Dr. Johnson serves as the Residency Program Director for the PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency at the OU College of Pharmacy. Dr. Johnson received his B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. Following his tenure at Ole Miss, Dr. Johnson completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency followed by a Pediatric Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. He is board certified in Pediatric Pharmacy and is a fellow of the Pediatric Pharmacy Association (FPPA), American College of Critical Care Medicine (FC M), and American Society of Health-System Pharmacy (ASHP). His research/scholarship focuses in pain management and sedation in children, pharmacokinetic alterations in critically ill children, and education/training in post-graduate pharmacy trainees.

Dr. Lauren Leiby is a Behavioral Health Patient Care Pharmacist at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Rachel Meyers is a Clinical Professor at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University, and the Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. Dr. Meyers completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Mary Washington and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Connecticut. After graduation she completed a PGY-1 residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin, and a PGY-2 residency in Pediatric Pharmacotherapy at the University of North Carolina Children’s Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In her current position, Dr. Meyers provides both didactic and experiential education in pediatric pharmacotherapy for pharmacy students and residents. She practices in both the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and General Pediatric Unit at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Dr. Meyers has been a participant in two clinical trials. Her research interests are focused on dosage forms for pediatric patients.

Misty Miller graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center College of Pharmacy and stayed on to complete two years of residency, specializing in pediatrics. She initially performed antimicrobial streamlining in a 250-bed hospital before coming back to OUHSC to work with adults with HIV and HCV for 10 years. She has since transitioned back to the world of pediatrics, rounding with the ID consult service, performing antimicrobial streamlining, and seeing pediatric patients exposed to or infected with HIV. She also loves teaching at the OUHSC College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Ashley Nebbia is currently a clinical pharmacist and the Pharmacy Residency Program Director at Physicians Regional Healthcare System in Naples, FL. Prior to coming to Physicians Regional, she was a Clinical Pharmacist in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Golisano Children's Hospital in Fort Myers, FL and a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Pediatric CICU & Cardiology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Nebbia received a Pharm.D. from The University of Oklahoma in 2009. Dr. Lane Nguyen is the Pediatric Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Kate Reichert, PharmD, BCOP, BCPPS is a Pediatric Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist III at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in New York, NY. Ashley Sabus, PharmD, BCOP is a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in Ambulatory Neuro-Oncology, Hematology and Ancillary Services at Children’s Hospital Colorado and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado (CU) Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Iowa College of Pharmacy and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency at Children's Hospital Colorado. Dr. Sabus is involved in experiential education as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice preceptor, and she presents an annual guest lecture on Sickle Cell Disease for the pediatric elective at the CU Skaggs School of Pharmacy. As part of her commitment to advancing the care of patients with brain tumors and non-malignant blood disorders, she has led a variety of quality improvement projects, such as creation of an iron chelator monitoring guideline, CNS tumor roadmap refresh initiative, and a pharmacist-led protocol for management of iatrogenic adrenal insufficiency. She has also authored several peer-reviewed publications and delivered national and local presentations. Examples of her recent work include a platform presentation on Oral Therapies for CNS tumors presented as part of the Children’s Oncology Group Betsy Poon Pharmacy Education Series, a retrospective evaluation of weight gain associated with MEK inhibitors in pediatric patients, a publication on the benefits of ravulizumab 100 mg/mL formulation, and a single institution’s report of the drug interaction between everolimus and cannabidiol in pediatric patients with subependymal giant cell astrocytomas. Ashley was a recipient of the Rocky Mountain Oncology Society Allied Health Education Award and serves as an active member on the Children’s Oncology Group Pharmacy Poster Session Committee.

Dr. Jennifer Thackray is the Manager of Pediatric Pharmacy Clinical Services and the Director of a PGY2 Pediatric Oncology Residency Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Kids (MSK Kids) in New York, NY. Dr. Thackray earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy and went on to completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency (2010) and a PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacotherapy Specialty Residency (2011) at the University of North Carolina Health Clinics in Chapel Hill, NC. Dr. Thackray is board-certified in pharmacotherapy and pediatric pharmacotherapy. Dr. Thackray joined the MSK Department of Pharmacy in 2011, initially practicing in the pediatric oncology inpatient setting. Over her tenure at MSK, Dr. Thackray has assisted in developing pediatric clinical services in the outpatient leukemia clinic and the outpatient sarcoma clinic, precepted residents in these services, served as a resident mentor and research mentor for PGY2 resident research projects. Dr. Thackray's clinical interests and research efforts include pediatric oncology supportive care measures (i.e., chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, venous thromboembolism, menses suppression, etc.), pharmacogenomics and clinical guideline development within international organizations. She is passionate about increasing and improving the interdisciplinary efforts to optimize pediatric oncology care across the healthcare system. Dr. Thackray received the 2021 Ralph D. Bienfang Outstanding Practitioner Award from The Alumni Affairs Board of The University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. Dr. Thackray is an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), Children’s Oncology Group (COG), Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC), Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA) and The Pediatric Pharmacy Association (PPA).

Dr. Thames has held various leadership positions including past Secretary and President of the North Central Florida Society of Health System Pharmacists (FSHP), founding steering committee member and past Chair of the regional Florida Residency Conference, Board of Director for FSHP, and currently serves as Vice Chair for FSHP Professional Affairs Council. Dr. Thames’ primary areas of interest include medication safety and pharmacy leadership.
