Reflections on Implementation of Central Fill

During this podcast episode, the faculty will delve deeper into the integration of central fill into the business of their respective health systems, including key objectives and whether those were met. Considerations for the buildout, taking into consideration the proximity to the health-system’s pharmacies will also be discussed. The podcast will conclude with discussion of staff reaction to central fill during all phases of the process (pre-implementation, during implementation, and post-implementation).

SPEAKERS

Tim WeberTim Weber, RPh, MBA is System Executive Director of Integrated Pharmacy Supply Chain Management at UNC Health in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, leading UNC Health’s pharmaceutical sourcing, distribution, and 340B programs. Mr. Weber received his BS degree from Rutgers University and MBA from American Public University. He serves a member of ASHP’s Pharmacy Practice Accreditation Commission and as a member of various committees with the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists. Mr. Weber was the recipient of the Next Generation Pharmacist Award in Civic Leadership in 2016.

Kris RusinkoKris Rusinko, PharmD, MBA was an Air Force Officer before attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree. He completed the 2 year Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and his MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. He is currently the Director of Operations for the Johns Hopkins Home Care Group, including Specialty, Home Infusion and Outpatient Pharmacy Services. Dr. Ruskinko is also working on his PhD in healthcare administration and serves as the Secretary of the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy.
