November 2020

Hello New Practitioners!

As we approach the 2020 Midyear Clinical Meeting, we all recognize that this year will look very different than past years. With these changes and uncharted territory, ASHP and the New Practitioners Forum are excited to explore and adapt to the new environment and make the most of these unprecedented times. We are confident that whether you’re a resident or new practitioner, you will be able to connect, learn, and advance your career. In preparation for the virtual Midyear Clinical Meeting, ASHP offers information specific to Resident and New Practitioner attendees, which will continued to be updated with meeting information and resources. This information highlights the resident & new practitioner programming track, residency & job recruitment preparation materials, and networking opportunities. We encourage you to bookmark this page as a resource for the most up-to-date information to prepare for the virtual Midyear Clinical Meeting.

Did you know that the NPF Executive Committee is hosting an upcoming live webinar specifically geared towards the opportunities and challenges of being a resident and new practitioner pharmacist? In the past, this information was part of the live Resident Visit Program; since we couldn’t gather in 2020, NPF wanted to make sure you don’t miss out on valuable advice on professional development, networking, finding your organizational home, and personal well-being. This live event is scheduled for Thursday, November 5th from 6-7pm EST. We encourage you and your colleagues to register for this free and informative event! For those who cannot attend the live webinar, the session will be recorded and available for on-demand viewing at elearning.ashp.org.

As we continue to navigate these challenging times, the ASHP New Practitioners Forum wants to support you and your professional growth. We always appreciate feedback and new ideas on ways to better support your professional interests. Please reach out to us at [email protected] and follow us on Twitter. In the meantime, we hope to “see you” virtually at these upcoming events!
