Charnae Ross, PharmD, MSHA

July 2023

Greetings New Practitioners!

As I conclude my term as chair of the New Practitioners Forum Executive Committee, I am filled with gratitude and appreciation for the accomplishments of the Forum over the past year. The NPF Executive Committee held its last meeting of the year at the ASHP Summer Meetings & Exhibition in Baltimore, Maryland. It was a productive meeting as we planned for the upcoming year and reflected on the many accomplishments of our NPF volunteers.

Our Forum Advisory Group members have been instrumental in creating valuable tools and resources to support practitioners in their professional journey. They have facilitated networking opportunities and fostered collaboration among new practitioners, students, pharmacy technicians, and seasoned practitioners.

A few notable new online resources include:

The Forum also hosted numerous virtual networking and educational events, produced a variety of podcasts, submitted manuscripts to AJHP, and more! Thank you NPF volunteers for your time and energy to the Forum’s initiatives!

I want to extend a heartfelt thanks to my fellow Executive Committee members, Justin Moore, Jessica Conn, Cassidy Dixon, and Gillian Leung. It has been a privilege to serve alongside each of you. Thank you for your invaluable leadership and dedication to the Forum. I also want to congratulate the incoming Executive Committee for 2023-2024. I am excited to witness the positive impact you will undoubtedly make during your service.
